Terrika Foster-Brasby is a multimedia journalist, sports broadcaster, and one of the leading voices in women's basketball. An award-winning storyteller with more than 12 years of experience, she has covered the WNBA, NCAA Women's Basketball, NBA, NFL, and MLB while building a reputation for insightful analysis, authentic storytelling, and dynamic on-air reporting.

Today, Foster-Brasby serves as a basketball analyst for CBS Sports, appearing regularly on CBS Sports HQ and CBS Sports Network's Inside College Basketball. She is also the sideline reporter and color commentator for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun, a role she has held since 2021, and serves as an inaugural sideline reporter for USA Sports' WNBA coverage. She frequently contributes to NBC Sports' WNBA coverage and co-hosts Levels to This, the iHeart Women's Sports Network podcast alongside four-time WNBA Champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes.

In 2022, Foster-Brasby was part of the historic first all-women broadcast team for the CIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament, becoming one of only five women selected for the groundbreaking broadcast of the nation's oldest HBCU athletic conference.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Foster-Brasby began her career as a sportswriter and digital content creator in 2012 before expanding into radio, podcasting, and digital journalism. She wrote NFL and college football coverage for Yahoo! Sports' Contributor Network and hosted The Gridiron Gurl on Sportzfam Radio, where she interviewed prominent figures across the sports landscape while cultivating a loyal audience.

 

In 2014, she joined ESPN, where she spent nearly a decade helping shape the company's audio, digital, and social media strategy. As Digital Audio Editor, Foster-Brasby co-created and co-hosted ESPN's Around the Rim alongside LaChina Robinson while producing several of the network's flagship podcasts, including His & Hers with Jemele Hill and Michael Smith, That's What She Said with Sarah Spain, and The Mina Kimes Show featuring Lenny.

She later transitioned to ESPN Social as a Senior Social Media Specialist, where she played a key role in expanding the network's women's basketball coverage and generating more than 1.5 million impressions during the 2022 WNBA Finals. In a rare transition from behind-the-scenes production to on-camera talent, Foster-Brasby became a regular analyst across ESPN platforms, appearing on Baseball Tonight Live (BBTN Live), WNBA Hoop Streams, Countdown to GameDay, SportsCenter, NBA Today, and This Just In. Throughout her tenure, she also contributed editorial content to espnW and Andscape, served on ESPN's V Foundation Committee, and hosted the company's first audio-based social fundraising event during V Week. She continues to make guest analyst appearances on ESPN Radio during the women's basketball season.

Beyond broadcasting, Foster-Brasby has established herself as a respected voice in sports media and digital storytelling. She has partnered with organizations including the WNBA, Athletes Unlimited, and Twitter Sports, where she served as one of the platform's leading #WNBATwitter creators and moderated the WNBA's official X Spaces during the 2023 season. Her expertise has been featured across MSNBC, NPR, TheGrio, Let Me Learn You with Jemele Hill, the New York Post, and CBC in Canada.

A proud HBCU graduate, Foster-Brasby earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Pre-Law) from Saint Augustine's University and her Master of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. She also holds a certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.

She is a Life Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the National Association of Black Journalists, where she serves as Vice President of Social Media for the Broadcast Task Force Executive Board. Her memberships also include the Pro Basketball Writers Association, the Association for Women in Sports Media, the NAACP, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the National Association of Parliamentarians, and Iota Sweethearts, Inc.

A former NCAA Division II volleyball and softball student-athlete, Foster-Brasby continues to use her platform to elevate women's sports, amplify athlete stories, and inspire the next generation of journalists through authenticity, excellence, and impactful storytelling.
